2024 Hyundai Sonata: $30K for AWD Model, $2400 Price Boost

Hyundai is rolling out a mid-cycle update for the 2024 Sonata, showcasing significant modifications to the front and rear bumpers, headlights, taillights, and a more dramatic overhaul of the interior. The pricing details for the 2024 lineup have been disclosed, streamlining the available trims and discontinuing the base SE variant.

With the base SE removed, the entry-level position is now occupied by the SEL trim, priced at $28,615. This marks a $2400 increase from the 2023 model. Opting for the new all-wheel-drive configuration comes with an additional $1500 cost. Presently, AWD is exclusive to cars equipped with the base 192-horsepower 2.5-liter four-cylinder engine, as other variants are available only in front-wheel drive.

Choosing the Sonata N Line, featuring a 290-hp turbocharged 2.5-liter engine and dual-clutch transmission, raises the starting price to $36,065, a $475 hike from the previous year. The N Line offers enhancements such as quad exhaust outlets, a larger front grille, red accent stitching, and 19-inch wheels, distinguishing it from the standard 17-inch wheels.

Moving to the SEL hybrid, the starting price is set at $31,915. Opting for the more luxurious Limited trim brings the price to $38,315, positioning it as the highest-priced Sonata variant. The Limited trim now boasts a power trunklid, a notable addition for the 2024 model, and a standard 12.3-inch infotainment screen with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.

Hyundai anticipates the 2024 Sonata to begin arriving at dealerships early next year, with hybrid models expected to follow later in the first quarter of 2024.
